Outline Coverage

Before writers begin their first draft, Lauren will provide an in-depth analysis of their materials, which can include an outline, beat sheet, character breakdowns, synopsis and/or other worldbuilding notes. This service offers two to five pages of feedback to ensure writers are confident with the direction of their script before writing.

Writing and Drafting​

Script Coverage 

Script coverage gives writers an analysis of their script’s strengths and weaknesses and brief suggestions for improvements. It also outlines where their script stands regarding market readiness. Writers can expect 2-5 pages of coverage for any length of screenplay.

Script Report 

A script report provides writers with an in-depth analysis of their script. Unlike coverage, this service is designed to give writers detailed, actionable feedback on their script. Script Reports typically range between 5–15 pages of feedback, depending on the script’s needs. It includes page by page notes and detailed, actionable suggestions about how to improve key storytelling elements. Along with your written Script Report, you’ll also have the option to schedule a complimentary 90-minute follow-up call with Lauren to go over the feedback and discuss next steps.

Editing and Formatting​

Proofreading, Polishing and Formatting Service 

The Proofreading, Polishing and Formatting Service corrects grammatical errors, typos and spelling issues, and ensures your screenplay is formatted to industry standards. This service does not cover edits to the plot, characters, themes or dialogue.

Festivals and Competitions​

Screenplay Festival and Competition Strategy

The Screenplay Festival and Competition Strategy service includes Script Coverage outlining your script’s strengths, weaknesses, and brief suggestions for improvement before festival and competition submission, with an emphasis on how readers and jurors are likely to view your work. Based on this analysis, you’ll receive a customized strategy, including a list of 50 festivals and competitions suited to your script.

*If you’re unsure whether your script is ready for festival submission, it’s recommended to start with the Script Coverage or Script Report service first. Once revisions are complete, you can either move directly to the Screenplay Festival and Competition Strategy service or purchase a Revision Analysis to ensure feedback has been effectively implemented.*
